Generating Videos from Storyboards
Segwise's Creative Generation Agent allows you to create complete video files based on video storyboards and static assets. This feature enables you to transform your creative concepts into finished video content.
How It Works
The system presents you with multiple video storyboard options that can be used to generate videos. Along with these storyboards, you'll have access to static assets that support the video generation process.
What You Get
When generating videos from storyboards in Segwise, you receive:
Fully-rendered video files ready for use
Video storyboards that serve as the foundation for your videos
Static assets that complement your video content
Getting Started
To access the Video Generation edit page where you can review and refine your storyboards:
Go to the Agents page (left sidebar)
Select the AI Videos tab
Navigate to the Video briefs section ("Storyboards we can render into videos using clips from your footage library")
Click Generate on any Video Storyboard card
The Video Generation edit page will open as a pop-up where you can review, refine, and finalize your AI-generated video storyboard before rendering it into a video.
The Video Generation Edit Page Layout
The edit page is organized into several sections:
Left — Edit chat: Request changes in plain language. It shows the current Context (e.g. "Whole video" or a specific scene)
Centre — Storyboard preview and Timeline: View every scene as a thumbnail with captions at the whole-video level. The timeline appears below for detailed editing
Right — Details panel: At the whole-video level it shows Concept & Direction, Character and Voice. When you select a scene, it switches to that scene's Voiceover, Headline and B-roll clip options
Top bar: Shows the title "Video Generation" with an Editing status, a History button, and Close (✕)
Bottom bar: Displays the edit status (e.g. "No unsaved edits") with options to Discard changes and Save changes
