Tip: Use clear, descriptive Display Names that include the ad network name — for example, "Meta - App Install" or "Google - Sign Up Click" — especially if you are tracking the same event type across multiple networks.
Note: Segwise does not allow renaming or deleting an Ad Network Metric once it has been created. You will have to contact the team to get that done.
Create a Calculated Metric
1. Go to Settings → Setup Metrics.
2. In the Calculated Metrics section, click + Add New.
3. Enter a Name for your metric (this is what appears in reports).
4. In the Make Formula section, assign Variable A by selecting a metric from the dropdown. This shows all standard platform metrics plus any Ad Network Metrics you have created.
5. Click + Add Variable to add Variable B, C, etc. if your formula needs more than one input. Click the red X to remove a variable.
6. In the Formula field, type your formula using variable letters and mathematical operators: + (addition), - (subtraction), * (multiplication), / (division). Example: A / B for Cost per Result.
7. Select the Metric Type: Number (displays as a plain number), Percentage (displays with a % symbol), or Currency (displays with a currency symbol).
8. Set the Positive Trend: Value Increases (for metrics where higher is better, e.g., Conversions, Revenue, ROAS) or Value Decreases (for cost-based metrics where lower is better, e.g., Cost per Lead, CPA, CPM).
9. Check the Preview section to validate your formula output.
10. Click Save.

Note: Segwise does not allow using a Calculated Metric inside another Calculated Metric. There is no limit to the number of Calculated Metrics you can create.
