The Video Generation edit page is where you review, refine, and finalise an AI-generated video storyboard before rendering it into a video. It opens as a pop-up (modal) when you click Generate on a Video Storyboard.
How to open it
Go to the Agents page (left sidebar) → the AI Videos tab → the Video briefs section ("Storyboards we can render into videos using clips from your footage library") → click Generate on any Video Storyboard card.
The layout
Left — Edit chat: request changes in plain language. It shows the current Context (e.g. "Whole video" or a specific scene).
Centre — Storyboard preview (top) and the Timeline (bottom).
Right — details panel: at the whole-video level it shows Concept & Direction, Character and Voice; when you select a scene it switches to that scene's Voiceover, Headline and B-roll clip.
Top bar: the title "Video Generation" with an Editing status, a History button, and Close (✕).
Bottom bar: the edit status (e.g. "No unsaved edits") with Discard changes and Save changes.
Storyboard preview
The whole-video view shows every scene as a thumbnail with a short caption (e.g. "creator panics at squad rating", "pitch upgrades to modern stadium"). The OVERALL / Whole video label tells you the current view level; selecting a scene focuses the preview on just that scene.
The timeline
A time ruler (0:00, 0:10, 0:20…).
A SCENES row — each scene is a block sized to its duration and labelled with its name and time range (e.g. "Scene 1 / 0s–10s"). Scenes are clickable: selecting one focuses the page on that scene (preview + scene details + edit context).
An OVERLAYS row — where on-screen text / graphic overlays appear (empty until any are added).
Left / right arrows to scroll a longer timeline.
Concept details (whole-video level)
Concept & Direction — the AI's creative brief: the hook, narrative arc and strategic intent (e.g. anchored on the portfolio's highest-IPM creative).
Character — the AI-chosen on-screen creator (photo + description, e.g. "24-year-old Spanish woman — high-energy, expressive, casual home look").
Voice — the AI-selected voiceover (e.g. "Liz – Social Media & Ad — excited, female, American").
These are read-only — Character and Voice are not editable at the moment.
Scene details
When you select a scene (in the timeline, or via a context chip), the right panel shows that scene's:
Voiceover — the spoken line for the scene, with its timing and word count (e.g. "~2.8s of 4s · 8 words").
Headline — the on-screen headline text for the scene.
B-roll clip — the footage clip used for the scene, with a Swap clip button to replace it with another clip from your footage library.
Making edits with the Edit chat
Pick a context chip — "Whole video" or a specific scene — using the chips and the + button (the + opens a list of Whole video plus each scene). Remove a chip with its ✕.
Describe your change in the "Describe a change…" box and send it. The agent stages the change before saving ("I'll stage them before saving"), so you review before it's applied. Nothing changes until you Save.
What the Edit chat can and can't do: it can adjust headlines, swap clips (B-roll), and change overlay placement. It can't change the character or voice — if you ask it to, it will say so and point you to what it can adjust.
Saving, discarding & history
The bottom bar shows "No unsaved edits" when everything is saved; it updates once you stage edits.
Save changes applies staged edits to the storyboard.
Discard changes reverts unsaved staged edits (it does not undo already-saved changes).
History (top bar) opens the Version history panel. A version is recorded each time you accept an edit or save changes, so it stays empty ("No saved versions yet") until your first save.
If you close the modal with unsaved staged edits, they're discarded — Save first to keep them.
Rendering the video
When you're happy with the storyboard, click Save changes and close the modal, then render the video from the storyboard card on the Agents page. Rendered videos use clips from your footage library, matched to the storyboard's scenes. You can download full videos in different ratios after rendering.
On the Agents page
Tabs: All, AI Videos, Video Storyboards, Statics, with Review / Bookmarked / Needs Improvement views.
Each Video Storyboard card has Generate (open the edit page / render), Export PDF (download the storyboard to share for approval — no video is rendered), and a Needs Improvement flag for internal review.
Video Storyboards are the AI-generated briefs (concept, scenes, character, voice); AI Videos are the rendered outputs produced from them.
